In his 7 years as a Project Manager for TEG, Curtis has been instrumental in pursuing and managing projects with several clients and has helped our firm secure repeat selections with many of them. Along with continuing to manage his current contracts, Curtis will direct the business development, client relations, and teaming opportunities for the department. We are confident the Transportation Department will see continued success under his leadership.

In his 10 years as a Resident Technician and Certified Arborist for TEG, Stephen has been the lead inspector on multiple contracts with several clients. Additionally, Stephen has brought in work for our municipal department in Channahon, has been instrumental in securing work for two IDOT landscape maintenance contracts, and will be a manager and mentor for our active Tollway landscape maintenance contract. He has also been active in planning and developing our environmental group. His new role as Technical Manager is an opportunity to broaden our firm's environmental capabilities through his extensive experience in vegetation management, tree surveys, roadway, bridge, and utility construction as well as his specialized experience in tree risk assessments and selective vegetation maintenance.
Mr. Severson is not a new face to Thomas Engineering Group, but has become a full-time employee as of January 2019. Having interned for the past few summers, Mitch has seamlessly transitioned to the Municipal group and will be assisting with both their current design projects and busy construction season this summer. Mr. Severson has experience in many phases of the construction process, including conducting cost estimates, designing lighting layouts, PCC sidewalk analysis and repair, and construction inspection. Mr. Severson also has knowledge and experiences pertaining to utility coordination, ESR documentation, and IDOT coordination for state and federally-funded projects. Specific responsibilities include contract quantities and costs, and plan reviews.

Mr. Konczewski is a registered Professional Engineer with nearly 5 years of experience in Phase I and II services. Maciej is experienced in roadway planning and design, project coordination, traffic signal studies, maintenance of traffic, bike path design, and ADA design. He is proficient in many transportation software packages including MicroStation, GEOPAK Road, HCS, and AutoTURN.

Zachary Jaydos, EI
Mr. Jaydos is a registered Professional Engineering Intern with 5 years of experience involving roles in construction management, resident engineering and project management with clients such as IDOT, ISTHA, CDOT, CDWM and CTA. Mr. Jaydos has field experience pertaining to the construction of curved bridges, toll roads and facilities, concrete substructures and superstructures, retaining walls, drilled shaft foundations, ITS systems, PCC pavement, asphalt pavement, pervious pavement, earth retention systems, storm sewer, water main, local access roads and more. Specific responsibilities include site surveying, documentation of construction activities and contract quantities, schedule review, plan review, submittal review, quantity takeoffs, and agency coordination.

Mr. Cross is a recent graduate of the Civil Engineering Program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a new hire in the Construction group and has primarily been involved with their Stone Avenue Reconstruction project in the Village of La Grange.

Tim has over 11 years of design, construction, and inspection experience in heavy highway, bridge, and aviation projects. His duties have involved project management and resident engineering for IDOT, Tollway, Chicago Department of Aviation, and various municipalities. He has extensive knowledge in plan preparation and reviews, construction administration, documentation, and observation, bridge inspections, multiple agency coordination, public relations, utility coordination and relocation, MOT changes, storm sewer and water main improvements, ADA improvements, landscaping improvements, erosion control issues, traffic signal installation, roadway lighting installation, and ITS.

Robert Nyce, PE
Mr. Nyce has over 20 years of experience in construction engineering. His experience includes roadway construction, inspection and management as well as wastewater treatment plant facilities construction. His recent experience is on roadway improvement project for ISTHA, IDOT and various municipalities and local agencies.
